Thing 3: Making My Blog

So I finally got this blog made and it doesn't nauseate me to look at it. Woot!! Woot!! The hardest part about setting it up was getting the picture at the top to look right. It's still not the picture I wanted (something with sunflowers), but it's still pretty cool. Actually posting is easy. Coming up with what to write, just doesn't flow. Jim says to give it a chance, so I'm trying.

The easiest of the 7 1/2 Habits--just this time--is setting goals. My goal is to finish all the steps before the deadline. Thankfully the deadline is later now or I wouldn't have been able to make this goal. And a side goal is winning something cool. That's out of my hands, but that would be fun! Doing the 23 things had goals built right in. If they didn't, this would have been my hardest habit. I'm not the best at making or keeping goals.

Hmmm, the hardest. There are different aspects of many habits that will be hard. Strangely, playing can be hard for me. I take myself and my work too seriously. I need to lighten up. Also, I'm not always confident in my abilities. Usually I'm just fine, but I don't have faith in myself. I have decided to say to myself }: P~~~ and just give it my best shot. (uh, that's me blowing raspberries) That's all I ask of my kids and everyone else, why should I hold myself to a higher standard?

So, wow, I guess I can ramble on a bit Jim! Now you will just have to shut me up!

Hi Julie! When I saw the word 'snarky' in this blog title, I knew it had to be you!!!

I'm surprised you didn't end your posts with 'Rock on!'

;)

Give me time. :-D

And it's "Party On!" just like Wayne and Garth would say in Wayne's World.

Party on!

Just keep on keepin' on. For a long time I got paralyzed by a to do list that just kept growing and growing. I didn't know where to start so I didn't - One day Netter said just do one thing today, and the next day and ... She's a smart cookie that Netter.

We are a lot alike in that we think things "should be" a certain way. What we're finding out is that sometimes they just aren't.

One more thing - flo schmo. Just put it out there. Write what you're thinking - tweak as necessary.

You have an incredible wit ya twit, the world deserves to hear ya.

Carry on. ;-)
